Notes: Sorry about the 'not posting' everyone-- just getting ready for the new FFXIV expansion and getting my main geared for it, I haven't forgotten about icons-- just have been super excited about all the game time I'm gonna invest-- there will also likely be more FFXIV icons as I play through it-- since I'm a creature of enthusiasm and usually icon whatever it is that I'm just sort of grooving on at the moment. I did submit via quickbattle for iconbattles, a themed FFXIV - White Hair Edition set-- Also the rose texture that I'm using in the middle icon of the five set is also a part of a texture set that will eventually be posted to the comm so stay tuned.

+notes: Take That is easily my most favorite band either (though Duran Duran does give a pretty solid showing). It was love ever since I was a 15 year old and heard "Back for Good" for the first time back in '95-- and it has lasted long into their latest song "Cry". I have seen them go from a 5 piece to a 4 piece, back to a 5 piece and then finally to a 3 piece (I MISS YOU JASON). +notes: This will be my final update before I start on my new icon challenge, all other icons (with the exception of friend's requests at the friends request post on my journal) will be placed on hold, I have to set limits and bounderies somehow. Also just a random pimp but gospelle has some WONDERFUL FFVII icons from the new remake trailer, I have a few that I am looking at and I may request that talented iconist to make me a yuffie icon when she appears in the trailer because I LOVE YUFFIE!. After this update is Take That icons, and then on to the Tales Series (which is also a monster of a folder in terms of icons). After the tales series, it is the home stretch of updating this comm with all OLD icons, and then it will be new icons, all day every day.

+notes: Icon Prompts is a great community because you are encouraged to challenge yourself and at a fairly slow pace. That way I can be as slow as I want to with cranking these out and absolutely no judgement whatsoever. I also do like the challenge of following a set structure and yet also allowing myself for personal creativity within that frame.

+notes: Oh FFVII, such a series that it doesn't really have to share with anyone else. I love/hate FFVII to be honest. When the game first came out, I loved it-- then as I grew up, I sort of was like "MEH" (because the fans, man..) and they were all screaming about yaoi buttsecks and there were pairing wars everywhere and the people who disliked Aerith, loved Tifa and vice versa, repeat AD NAUSEUM. Also, I have had the not-privledge of knowing some OTHERKIN from the series, people who thought that they were the reincarnated versions of Sephiroth/Vincent/Reno. But then I played Crisis Core, and then suddenly it was love again and everything was right in the world. FFVII taught me not to take my fandoms seriously, it's all fun and games-- and that is games spelled G.A.M.E.S, as in FICTIONAL CHARACTERS!~

+notes: Oh yes, this batch will contain notes because I'm not heading to work and pressed for time. As with all icon batches, you can usually tell what characters I adore, but also you can also tell what art inspires me because I will use art over and over if I particularly like that picture - *see Relm, there are a few really great art pieces that I LOVE THE MOST OF HER! and one of them I have made various icons of here, each with a bit of a difference. (And yes, Relm is my favorite character in VI, along with Setzer.)

+notes: I wanted to give the Princess series it's own page because I will never stop being proud of all of these icons I made or the effort I put into such an amazing series. I love this series and I'm gonna sit down and tell y'all why. Back in 2008, my ex girlfriend had left me at home while she and her husband went off to Florida-- it was Christmas, I was lonely and depressed. Then I saw someone posting scanlations on LJ, so I was like "the art looks nice, so why the hell not?" I started reading the first volume, I was off work for the weekend and I had nothing better to do. 16 HOURS LATER I WENT TO BED IN A SOBBING TEARY MESS BECAUSE THAT SERIES DID SOMETHING TO MY FEELS THAT HAD NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. It was still updating so I had to wait for scanlations along with everyone else (I think that I covered 26 volumes in a 16 hour period, idk how healthy that was in the long run). This series, my friends is WHY I LEARNED HOW TO COLOUR MANGA and I can vouch that 90 percent of these icons started out as 'black and white', which is why I am so proud.

Also my feels, my fucking feels. I will look at certain icons from series and go 'eww what was I thinking' because I am hyper critical of myself, but every single icon I did for the Princess series was a labour of fucking love and in my eyes there is not a bad one out of the entire bunch. You can also read Princess Here. It may be shoujo trash, but then so am I so it's all good! (also if you read-- keep kleneex on you)

+notes: Can't stop, the clowns will eat me. I am nearing the home stretch here, the real hurdle will be all those final fantasy/tales series icons which I have collected-- as well as the Princess icons I have (not disney, but manga series) that is the next update. This was fairly easy though as the folders in question only had a few icons per folder so it was easy to lump a lot of series into one post. As usual, some are old, some are new and all are learning experiences.

+notes: This is the last of the canon-fire of icons with no real targets. as with the previous version, these are icons that really have no niche. Yeah, some of these I know the series but I iconned so few that it didn't justify folder space for it so I dumped it into the 'catch all'. Some of these icons I like, some are like 'wtf' but I made them all-- so they have to be uploaded. (lesson in humilities here, show people the lowest you can go to ground yourself properly!). There are some icons here that I really really like, but as I am not familar with the series, I won't use them.

+notes: I love making textures-- there is something so grounding about it. And for the chaos that is my regular journal, this allows me to become virgo so to speak. This is not like my usual set, I have spent weeks playing with colours, filters and blurs. Make no mistake there WILL BE more grunge-y textures, however this is a departure from my usual style (curious about my style and new here? check my tags, previous sets can be found there!). Also, I maintain that I will never create a texture that I can't myself use, so there will be textures from this series that were put on other icons I've recently made (ahahaha guinea pigs!).

+note: THESE ARE ICONS THAT DO NOT FIT INTO SOMETHING SPECIFIC. They are either miscellaneous, or I know the series and don't think I will ever icon anything from that series, or they are pretty art. I don't expect them to be used, this is just a dumping ground for them-- there are some RECENT icons in there and I feel with the evolution of my style, they are obvious-- and some of these are so old, they do not have the LIGHT BLOB? +notes: I AM NOW TO THE M's--- meaning that I'm halfway there, and then I will be done uploading every single thing that I've ever iconned (okay not really-- there are still a few that will not see the light of day, those are either 1.) specific requests or 2.) something I iconned for ex's. But there are a few icons here that I am impressed with, so much that I'm like "Why am I not using them?". They were crap originally, but then I think it is because I've seen the composition and gone. "wow, that's just amazing". There is even one that is in ART HOUSE style, and I don't expect anyone to like it but me, but I like it because it is NOT YOUR NORMAL ICON! (points to icon I am currently using), yeah, it's sort of wierd, but I still adore it to this day.

+notes: These icons at first were not arranged very pretty but then suddenly I figured out how to 'fix' the code, teaches me to think I can do a simple shortcut on HTML. BOO on me. However there are some things of note with this batch, the very first one of Nikki Bella won "BEST CROP" over at nexticon which makes me super happy. Also, that community is really fun and only requires you to do one at a time, definitely check it out. Also yes, I know I did a lot of fandoms and I can see my list growing smaller and smaller. Soon I will be to the hardest stuff to throw out there, and that is my LOADS of SQUARESOFT/NAMCO BANDAI icons. Seriously, dreading that-- because there. are. so. many.

+notes: been sitting on these textures for a few weeks now, or rather the image for these. All of these textures come from the same BASE IMAGE I created, however I applied different filters so they could be used in three seperate ways. Once again, if you use these textures-- share something you did with them, I love to see what creativity was inspired by them. Also, if y'all haven't already noticed. I love bright things and I love grungy things-- since my icons are very decorative, I usually find a myriad of uses for them. I am also working on a texture set that is not my usual style but because they are textures I have not done before, it's taking me extra long to play around with them.
