+notes: Oh FFVII, such a series that it doesn't really have to share with anyone else. I love/hate FFVII to be honest. When the game first came out, I loved it-- then as I grew up, I sort of was like "MEH" (because the fans, man..) and they were all screaming about yaoi buttsecks and there were pairing wars everywhere and the people who disliked Aerith, loved Tifa and vice versa, repeat AD NAUSEUM. Also, I have had the not-privledge of knowing some OTHERKIN from the series, people who thought that they were the reincarnated versions of Sephiroth/Vincent/Reno. But then I played Crisis Core, and then suddenly it was love again and everything was right in the world. FFVII taught me not to take my fandoms seriously, it's all fun and games-- and that is games spelled G.A.M.E.S, as in FICTIONAL CHARACTERS!~

These are all wonderful! I can't decide which ones to pick. :D

I was lucky enough to come to this fandom late, and to find a small segment of the fandom that suited me perfectly (multishipping and weirdness, no drama), so I only heard about the many crazy things that went on with other parts of the fanbase at a distance... but man, some of it sounded truly crazy!

Late to the party is always fun! I think that a fandom is only as good as how well you can and easily you can separate yourself from who you perceive to be the crazies. FFVII has grown ridiculously easy over time, and I've also seen that all of the obsessive otakukin have pretty much moved on to bigger and better things.

My crack sephiroth ones are always my favorite-- like my personal favorite is of him in twintails BUT I think that he is a character that is just so serious that it is fun to not be serious with him.
